Project Little Boat forms collaboration with Rapid Online to establish a joint mission of sourcing and providing PPE to the UK

Who are we?

Project Little Boat is not-for-profit group set up by a collection of individuals and small businesses all determined to do everything we can to help our fight against the coronavirus outbreak.

Our vision

To help the outcomes of and save the lives of people affected by enabling a network for businesses and individuals to come together in the fight against coronavirus to alleviate pressure on the NHS and other front and second-line services.

Our mission

To coordinate and utilise the innovation and flexibility of the private sector (SME’s and larger organisations), to develop and implement rapid solutions that will take pressure off the front-line NHS and support the second line of essential services to vulnerable people across the country. We want to ensure there is a network for businesses and individuals to make a difference by working with all types of organisations, from charities, councils, small and large companies and Government to create a real impact where it’s most needed.

How can you help us?

At present, our focus is on four core areas:

Project LB_graph V3.jpg

Operation Falcon

Test, test and test. Whilst the Government has an ambitious programme of testing underway for front line staff, it is our belief that testing for the ‘second line’ – care-home workers, Local Authorities, prisons, homeless shelters, schools etc is vital to fighting Coronavirus. Project Little Boat is sourcing testing kits for Antigen and Antibody tests that can be deployed across the UK. The aim is to mobilise these tests across pop-up laboratories that are easily accessible to communities across the UK, in both urban and rural locations.

Operation Overarch

The bringing together of Labs, processing equipment and product in conjunction with researchers and deployment of test results or new to market products.  We are matching researchers with key centres and laboratories in the UK that can add to the national effort.

Operation Coverall

The PPE shortage is a world-wide crisis made more complicated by complex procurement processes. Project Little Boat is matching international and UK supply with demand from UK organisations in the ‘care’ sector and second line services. If you urgently need to order PPE products click here

Operation Sixpence

All of the above costs money and we are seeking individuals and organisations who can provide funding at a scale to match the crisis.

We are inviting other organisations and volunteers to join Project Little Boat.

At the moment, we need help with the following:

Testing

We are looking for partners who can supply test kits, help create pop-up community tests centres and those who can help with processing and evaluating the tests. If you can help with any of the above, please get in touch.

PPE

Quite simply, we need to match supply with demand. If you are UK based or international organisation and can supply PPE, please get in touch. If you are in need of PPE and you are a second line organisation, we want to hear from you so we can help you access supply.

Funding

The fight against Coronavirus is hugely expensive. We need organisations and high net worth individuals who can help underwrite bulk orders. If you think you have the resources, skills or capability to help, please contact us.

By coming together, we could save so many lives. But we need many more little boats to make that happen.

Please get in touch.
